Clancy was very easy to work with, friendly, proactive, and helpful with suggestions of attractions in the area. Our accommodation exceeded our expectations. If anyone is needing an accessible place to stay in the Inverness region, Mackenzie cottage is perfect. There is a ramp to the door, wide passages, and accessible bathroom. Strathpeffer is not high on the tourist list of places to go and stay, but it should be! It is a beautiful Victorian spa town with lots of space, leafy trees, and a relaxed atmosphere. Easy drive to Inverness and area.

Nice place for a family and based in a lovely location for sports climbing and other activities. Beautiful autumn leaves in the area and a nice garden with the accommodation. We intend to visit again!

We just wanted to write and let you know that we had a wonderful time when we stayed at the end of July - James particularly loved it and was very disappointed to go home. He keeps asking when we are going again. The cottage was exactly what we needed (especially the lovely little touches) and a perfect base to explore Strathpeffer and the surrounding areas. We will definitely be keeping you in mind for our next trip.

We stayed at the lovely homely Mackenzie cottage in May 2015. I loved it from the moment I set foot into the cottage ,it is a perfect base for exploring all around the Highlands, we had a amazing holiday in the most beautiful place, I was truly sad to leave and go home, we will be going back for certain next year. I adored it in the gorgeous Highlands and cannot wait to go back, thankyou very much Clancy a real home from home. I really miss my walks in the evening round Blackmuir woods and all around cant wait to be back A******** place to stay.

We loved the place, and is actually better than it looks in the pictures. A lovely cottage , very spacious and well located. Clancy is a lovely host, very responsive and recommended places for us to visit. Checked in with us to ensure we were settled, got us milk and eggs and little treats, which we found extremely thoughtful and useful considering we were visiting just before Christmas.
Would highly recommend this place, the village is small but nice and easily walkable. Drivable distance from Inverness, Ullapool, Loch Ness and other places.
Would happily stay again.

We had a fantastic stay with Clancy. The East Wing is cosy and warm (perfect for February), and we immediately settled right in. The place was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay, and in a great peaceful location. Clancy was friendly and very helpful, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We stayed in Mackenzie cottage last week and my sister stayed in Nicholson, we had a fantastic time and wish we had booked for 10 days, the accommodation was great, plenty of room for all of us. It is quite central, we went to John O'Groats, Loch Ness, boat trip to see the dolphins. We are hoping to come back very soon as it was a very tranquil part of the country, thanks again for a great holiday.

Clancy's place was perfect. We stayed 3 nights there, it had everything that we needed for the stay. The house itself is located at a convinient distance from inverness and other attractions. We had rented a car , the place has free parking as well which is added bonus.
The appartment was clean and has everything we needed for cooking as well.
It was spacious and felt right at home. We hope to book again. thank you!

Clancys place in Strathpeffer is a really good choice when visiting the North Highlands. Its possible to reach most places in the north on a one day trip and the city Strathpeffer is very nice with victorian style houses and an interesting history from the Spa era. We can warmly recommend Clancys house to everyone.
