Nestling at the foot of Ben Wyvis in Ross & Cromarty is the beautiful Victorian Spa village of Strathpeffer. You are never more than an hour or so from most parts of the Scottish Highlands making it the perfect base for easy exploration of this gorgeous part of the world. Strathpeffer is especially suited to those wishing to experience the North Coast 500 touring route.

All cottages are set in set the peaceful grounds of Mackenzie House and all make comfortable and cosy bases for a relaxing Highland holiday. Pets are welcome in both Nicolson and Mackenzie cottages but are NOT permitted in West Wing. All bedlinens, towels, electricity, heating and WiFi are provided.
Strathpeffer is only 25 minutes drive from Inverness which has easy access by road, rail or the following airports – London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, London Luton, London City, Belfast and Amsterdam.
Strathpeffer has cafes, museums, restaurants, gift and craft shops, a pharmacy, Post Office, a small supermarket and a small deli.There's also a well stocked bicycle shop.
There's the Eaglestone, an ancient carved Pictish Stone and some wonderful Victorian architecture to enjoy.
A regular summer (May to September) Saturday evening attraction for both locals and visitors is the Strathpeffer Pipe Band playing in the Square from 8:30pm
With loads of walks locally, an 18 hole golf course (hilly), plenty of cycling both on and off road, fishing and 'The Ben' (just over 3000') to climb you will not be short of something to do.
Mountains, beautiful quiet beaches, outdoor adventure activities,
hill-walking, fishing, sailing, dolphins, eagles and red kites, golfing, wildflowers, hairy Heilan’ Coos, lochs, islands and sunsets - if it's not right on our doorstep it's all easily reached within an hours drive or less.
Loch Ness, Black-Isle Peninsula, Moray Firth, West Coast, Gairloch, Applecross, Ullapool, Inverness, Dornoch, Nairn, Aviemore, Cairngorm National Park, John O'Groats, Thurso, Cape Wrath, Isle of Skye - some of these places are a day trip and are well worth making the effort to visit but if you just want to relax and do very little then our cottages are cosy and comfortable enough to enable you to do just that !
